Padel in London
From Canary Wharf to Battersea Power Station — where to play padel in London, what it costs, and how to get a court in the UK's fastest-growing sport.
Padel takes over London
Padel is the UK's fastest-growing sport, and London is where that growth is most visible — new venues keep opening in landmark locations. Padium sits in Canary Wharf with seven indoor and two outdoor courts; Rocket Padel plays inside Battersea Power Station with four indoor courts; and Powerleague put three panoramic courts on a rooftop in Shoreditch. East London's Stratford Padel Club is the largest dedicated club in zones 1–2, with eight indoor courts plus a covered outdoor court, and Padel Social Club in Earls Court combines four outdoor and two indoor courts with a proper club-house feel.
Expect London prices. Courts are premium real estate here, and peak-hour rates at marquee venues have been reported around £70–90 per court hour — still reasonable split by four, and off-peak daytime slots cost markedly less. Booking runs through the clubs' own platforms and Playtomic, and rental rackets are standard everywhere.
The upside of the boom is beginner-friendliness. Most London venues run intro sessions, coached beginner hours and open matches, because the majority of their players picked up a racket within the last two years. If you can, book a weekday daytime hour — evening slots at the landmark venues disappear days in advance, and a quiet first hour on court is worth more than a glamorous one.
Book an off-peak weekday hour and take the intro session — every big London venue runs them, and one coached hour saves you three self-taught ones.

Yes — most featured courts are indoor (Padium, Stratford, Rocket Padel) or covered, and the outdoor courts at Powerleague and Padel Social Club play through most of the year.
Take an intro session: nearly every big venue runs coached beginner hours because most of their players are new to the sport. Book off-peak, rent a racket, and read our rules guide before your first match.
